Nurse Maid's Elbow? Where's a camera when you need one?

Kenny got a call last night from Paw Paw saying that Zoey had hurt her arm. Kenny and I were attempting a date night and the food had literally just been put down on the table when the phone rang. We choked down our chicken wings (How white trash is that? Eating chicken wings while our baby is getting wounded?) and off we went to MiMi and Paw Paw's house. Sure enough I find my baby curled up on MiMi's lap favoring her left arm. Oy vey! Off we go to the ER.

Come to find out it was a dislocated Elbow! Poor baby! Out of all the darn cameras I have and not one was in the car! I think Kenny and I blog too much when we are driving our 2 year old (newly 2 at that!) to the ER and discussing why there is no camera to document what's going on!

As soon as doc Hansen (Or Guy as Zoey later called him) came in, he gently touched her arm...STRAIGHTENED IT OUT...TWISTED IT... then said "I'll be back in a few minutes to check on her". Are you kidding me? I could feel the chicken that I mentioned earlier threatening to make a reappearance! As soon as Zoey realized that Guy was no longer in the room she stopped crying. Kenny tried handing her his keys while I was holding the right arm and sure enough she used the left arm like nothing had ever happened. We were checked on, told Guy, Bye and off we went. She wanted to go back to her MiMi's house so we dropped her off begrudgingly and we went home to take a bottle of tums!

Kids. I wish we were so renewable.
